Empowering Widows for a Brighter Tomorrow

Dorcas Corner Charity Foundation (DCCF) is a Nigerian based  (NGO) established 3 years ago, with a primary mission of helping the needy and
less privileged of the society.

The DCCF vision was birthed from the holy scriptures; Acts 9:36-42, which allows us a view into the life of Tabitha, interpreted as Dorcas. Dorcas was kind, she cared for the poor and catered for the needy. It is based on the life of Dorcas that the mission of helping the needy
and less privileged of the society was drawn. Hence the name, Dorcas Corner Charity Foundation. In the organization’s case, DCCF has settled on helping and empowering widows.
DCCF is all about humanitarian service. Her goal is not only to provide support and render assistance to widows living in Nigeria, but to also empower them with skills that will enable them to sustain themselves over time.

Blessings from my wife and I, Nelson and Tegan Omale. Welcome to our family! As the Founder and Directors of Dorcas Corner Charity Foundation, we have a passion for the vision God has given us in reaching out to the needy in Nigeria. By the grace of God, we are creating programs to uplift the widow because of their importance to God who “is a Father to the Fatherless and a Defender of Widows.” As we keep a focus on empowering the widow, we are confident and hopeful for the huge harvest of blessing in their children and communities.

My name is Victor Chijioke Durueke, and I am an Alumni of the University of Abuja and an interior decorator by profession. Since my Universtiy Years, I have had passion to reach out to those who are vulnerable in society. Coming in contact with the Founder motivated me to get involved from the pioneering stages of Dorcas Corner Charity Foundation. I am from Imo state, born into a family of 4, a twin and a current resident in FCT-Abuja.

My name is Oguche Salifu, and I am the Secretary of Dorcas Corner Charity Foundation. As one of the pioneers, Dorcas Corner Charity Foundation was one of my dreams come true. I lost my dad at a very young age, and I saw my mom struggling with everything to see how she could see us through in our education and our welfare. Since then, I took it upon myself to see how I could reach out to as many widows as possible. Dorcas corner is part of God’s purpose in my life. I am also a business man, philanthropist, and accountant by profession. I am a graduate of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja. I am also a father of two daughters.
